The bus station is across the street
Arubus's main Oranjestad station sits directly across from the cruise terminal, which makes the public bus the easy way to the beaches. Line 10 and its 10A/10B/10C variants run up the hotel strip to Eagle Beach, Palm Beach and Arashi. A ride cost $2 in 2026.60 per person, payable in cash on board, with day passes and return tickets sold at the station.
New taxi rules from May 2026
Aruba overhauled its taxi regulations on May 20, 2026. The minimum fare for any ride is now $10, base fares cover one to four people, and each extra passenger in a group of five to seven adds $3. A $5 surcharge applies late at night (11pm-7am), on public holidays and all day Sunday - worth knowing on a Sunday call, when a round trip to Palm Beach picks it up twice.
Fares are fixed by zone rather than metered; licensed cabs carry a QR code that brings up the official fare, so check it before setting off.
