From the airport: train for one terminal, taxi for the other
For the Overseas Passenger Terminal, the Airport Link train runs from Sydney Airport to Circular Quay in roughly 20-25 minutes, then it is an 8-10 minute flat walk to the gangway. The fare carries an airport station access fee, so it costs more than an ordinary city trip, but with two bags it is still the simplest route.
White Bay has no train, so almost everyone takes a taxi, rideshare or a pre-booked transfer. Travel guides published in 2026 put an airport taxi at roughly A$50-70 to either terminal, and warn that White Bay can be as slow as Circular Quay in peak traffic despite being closer by distance.
Parking if you drive in
As of 2026, Wilson Parking sells prepaid cruise parking for 4 to 30 days at nearby garages. For the Overseas Passenger Terminal the published daily rates are A$25 at The Domain, A$30 under the Opera House, A$40 at Quay West and A$51 at Clocktower in The Rocks. For White Bay the two options are both back in the city - A$20 a day at Darling Park on Sussex Street and A$40 at Harbourside in Pyrmont (5-day minimum) - so a taxi to the ship is still part of the plan.
Those rates apply only when prepaid online or through Wilson's app, can be booked up to three months ahead, and allow one entry and exit. Check the height limits too: The Domain is 1.9m, which rules out many vans and roof boxes.
