Pier 2 or Pier 11 - half a mile apart
Honolulu uses two cruise terminals: Pier 2 at 521 Ala Moana Boulevard, and Pier 11 at 23 Aloha Tower Drive. They are only about half a mile apart, but your rideshare driver needs the right one, so take the pier number from your boarding documents rather than just typing "Aloha Tower".
The airport is close - roughly a 15-minute drive without traffic. Expect about $40 for a taxi, $20-30 for a rideshare and from about $22 for a shared shuttle.
Taking TheBus with a suitcase
Route 20 links the airport and downtown every 20 minutes for $3. For Pier 11 get off at South King and Bethel streets (about 30 minutes, then a 0.3-mile walk); for Pier 2 use the Ala Moana Boulevard stop opposite South Street (just under 40 minutes, then 0.2 miles).
Since October 2025, TheBus has allowed one medium suitcase plus one carry-on or backpack per rider, as long as you can stow them at your feet, under the seat or on your lap without blocking the aisle. As of late 2025 the city called the rule temporary, so a family with large checked bags is still better off in a car.
No park-and-cruise here
There is no cruise parking garage at either pier and no park-and-cruise lot. The Aloha Tower Marketplace near Pier 11 has short-term parking at around $20 a day, which suits a drop-off or a pre-cruise afternoon, not a week. For people already on Oahu, the realistic answer is a ride to the pier.
