Where this cruise calls, day by day
6 ports and 2 sea days over 7 Nights.
- Day 1
Port Canaveral, FL
United StatesDepartCanaveral is Orlando's cruise port, which is the whole point: most passengers arrive off a theme-park week or straight from MCO, about 45 miles and an hour west. The terminals - 1, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 10 - are modern and low-rise, wedged between a working cargo harbour and a Space Force launch complex. Launches are visible from the ship and worth checking the schedule for.
- Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, half an hour north - the Saturn V hangar alone eats three hours
- Cocoa Beach and the original Ron Jon Surf Shop, open around the clock
- Jetty Park, where you can watch your own ship sail out from the beach
- Historic Cocoa Village for a slower afternoon of shops and riverfront bars
- Getting ashore
- Cruise Terminals 1, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 10 are spread along the harbour with their own parking garages; Orlando International is roughly 45 miles west (45-60 minutes clear of traffic) and Melbourne is closer at about 35 minutes.
- Best months
- Nov-May (Aug-Oct is peak hurricane season; summer afternoons bring daily thunderstorms)
Day 2 · At sea
- Day 3
Cozumel
MexicoPortCozumel is an island 12 miles off the Yucatán that runs almost entirely on cruise traffic - three piers, up to six ships at once, and a downtown built to absorb them. Which pier you draw matters more than anything else: Punta Langosta puts you in San Miguel on foot, while Puerta Maya and the International Pier sit a few miles south and need a taxi. The reason to come is underwater, on the Palancar and Colombia reefs.
- Snorkel or dive Palancar Reef
- Chankanaab Park's lagoon and shore snorkelling
- A beach club day at Mr. Sancho's or Nachi Cocom
- San Gervasio Maya ruins in the island's interior
- Getting ashore
- All ships dock; Punta Langosta is a walk into San Miguel, while Puerta Maya and the International Pier are 3-4 miles south, about 10 minutes by taxi.
- Best months
- Dec-Apr is driest and calmest; Jun-Nov is hurricane season, and sargassum can wash ashore May-Aug
- Day 4
George Town
Cayman IslandsPortGeorge Town has no cruise pier, and that shapes everything: every passenger from every ship arrives by tender at one of two small harbourfront landings. When winter northwesters blow up, calls are cancelled outright and the ship sails on. Ashore it is a tidy, expensive capital of banks and duty-free shops - the actual draw is offshore at the Stingray City sandbar and up the coast at Seven Mile Beach.
- Standing waist-deep with the rays at the Stingray City sandbar
- Seven Mile Beach
- Cayman Turtle Centre in West Bay
- Starfish Point and Rum Point on the north shore
- Getting ashore
- Tender port - 10-15 minutes to the George Town landings, with Seven Mile Beach another 10-15 minutes by taxi or public bus.
- Best months
- Dec-Apr is driest; Sep-Oct brings the most rain and hurricane risk, and winter swells can scrub the tender operation entirely
- Day 5
Falmouth
JamaicaPortRoyal Caribbean built this pier in 2011 beside a genuine Georgian town - Falmouth has some of the best-preserved 18th-century architecture in the Caribbean, most of it derelict. The port itself is a gated shopping village designed to imitate the town next to it. Outside the gate the vendor pressure is immediate and heavy, and most passengers leave on an excursion rather than explore.
- Luminous Lagoon bioluminescence, on evening calls
- Bamboo rafting on the Martha Brae
- Dunn's River Falls, about 90 minutes east
- Good Hope Estate for zip lines and ATVs
- Getting ashore
- Ships dock; the port village is at the gangway and old Falmouth is just outside the gate, but expect persistent hustling from the moment you step through.
- Best months
- Dec-Apr is driest; May and October are the two rain peaks, and Aug-Oct is hurricane season
Day 6 · At sea
- Day 7
Castaway Cay
BahamasPortDisney's island near Great Abaco was a smuggler's airstrip before Disney leased it, and it is one of the few private beaches with a real pier, so there is no tender queue. Families get Pelican Plunge and Scuttle's Cove; adults get Serenity Bay at the far end of the island. Lunch at Cookie's BBQ and the bicycles are included in the fare; cabanas, floats, snorkel gear and excursions cost extra. Disney ships only.
- Serenity Bay, the adults-only beach
- Pelican Plunge, the floating water platform offshore
- Cookie's BBQ, included with your fare
- The Castaway Cay 5K along the old airstrip
- Getting ashore
- Ships dock at a pier and you walk off; trams run to the family beach and on to Serenity Bay, about ten minutes away.
- Best months
- Dec-Apr for calm weather; Aug-Oct calls are sometimes redirected around storms

About the Ship
What Travelers Say About Disney Fantasy
Reviews of the ship itself — the same for every Disney Fantasy sailing. Based on 9,000 discussions.
The Disney Fantasy is the second and final ship in Disney Cruise Line's Dream class (sister to the nearly identical Disney Dream), and it's widely regarded as one of the best ships DCL has built. What sets it apart isn't a single feature but the relentless theming and storytelling baked into everything: the Art Nouveau atrium, the AquaDuck water coaster threading through the funnels, dinners that double as live entertainment, and a fireworks-capped Pirate Night you won't find at sea anywhere else. The vibe is unapologetically family-and-character-first, polished to a Disney shine, with enough adults-only carve-outs to keep parents sane.
What People Love
- Rotational dining is the signature win: you rotate through three themed restaurants (Animator's Palate, Enchanted Garden, Royal Court) while keeping the same serving team every night, so they learn your kids' preferences and allergy needs once and carry them across all three rooms
- Animator's Palate is genuinely interactive theater — screens around the room let Crush from Finding Nemo 'swim' over and chat live with diners as you eat
- The AquaDuck is a 765-foot water coaster with a four-deck drop that swings out over the edge of the ship and loops through a funnel — included in your fare, an edge over many competitor slides
Common Complaints
- The premium is steep — many guests flatly call it 'not worth the money' versus mainstream lines, with fares often running well above an equivalent Royal Caribbean family sailing
- Pool-deck overcrowding is a recurring complaint — with ~4,000 guests, reviewers report chaotic pools and that it's 'impossible to find seating' on sea days
- Elevators are undersized for the passenger load, with long waits to move between decks at peak times
