Celebrity Solstice is the lead ship of Celebrity's Solstice class (2008) and, after a March 2026 relaunch as the first ship in the line's $250 million class-wide makeover, presents itself as a refreshed premium-tier ship for travelers who prize calm elegance over high-energy spectacle. Its most famous feature, the half-acre of real grass on the top-deck Lawn Club, has been retired and reimagined as Sunset Park, an open-air sundeck with turf lawn games, live music, cabanas, and an expanded bar. The vibe is refined and adult-leaning, with tasteful décor, a serene plant-filled Solarium, and a heavy emphasis on service.

Food and service are the ship's anchors. Murano's French tableside cuisine earns near-Michelin praise, and the refurbishment added Fine Cut Steakhouse and the new Italian Trattoria Rossa alongside Sushi on Five, the AquaClass-only Blu, and the suite-only Luminae. The Grand Epernay main dining room and Oceanview buffet cover everyday meals, though the best eating costs extra. Cabins are comfortable and surprisingly spacious, the adults-only Solarium and Resort Deck pools cover swimming, and entertainment got a boost from the new Boulevard Lounge, The Parlor gaming room, and fresh Solstice Theater productions. The main drawbacks are sluggish Wi-Fi and occasional aging-ship maintenance issues.

The Solstice suits couples, older travelers, and food-and-relaxation-focused cruisers more than families chasing waterslides or party crowds. It competes with premium peers like Holland America and Princess while sitting below true luxury lines, and within Celebrity's fleet it slots between the older Millennium class and the newer Edge class. Standout activities include lingering in the Solarium, the upgraded Sunset Park top deck, the specialty restaurant lineup, and the suite-class Retreat with its private sundeck and hot tub.
